"There are sunsets that are not merely contemplated: they remain living forever within the soul."
Beneath the golden blaze of sunset,
when the sky was kissing the bay,
Panama slowly blossomed
like a kingdom suspended within an embrace.
The palm tree stood as an altar against the void,
and the Causeway, a pathway toward serenity;
while the sea poured upon the soul
a radiance of copper and defiance.
The slow wheels rolled on silently
as though time itself had halted
its ancient will to bring oblivion
before the blue murmur of the storms.
For love too raises regal landscapes,
and some are born only in Panama;
becoming eternity beyond
the two seas and all their privileges.
Where the sun, dying upon the foam,
spills a crimson kiss into the east,
while the horizon slowly
turns the sky to fire and mist.
