“Children never abandon their father’s soul… even when they remain only as shadow and memory.”
Beneath the white and silent moon,
memories stretched out their branches,
while the ancient pacts slept
between shadow and the mist-laden night.
Within the side panels dwelled
the quiet presences of his children,
like invisible and delicate echoes
watching him from the penumbra.
They were not shadows… they were companionship,
immortal fragments of life
breathing behind the harmony.
And every suspended black branch
still seemed like a hand
touching the trembling memory.
The moon slowly illuminated
the profound emptiness of the chamber,
as though protecting the distance
between silence and eternal absence.
They were the children of Verona, living
within the dark and truthful art,
invisible guardians of the path
their father still continues to build.
