"Bodies may be confined; the spirit can never be chained."
In the dimness, a most unusual form of beauty
burned while imprisoned;
its eyes preserved the tenderness
of a constellation in love.
And although its soul seemed winged,
it lived between shadow and confinement;
yet within its chest, with madness,
a storm beat in acceleration.
One thousand two hundred pulses per minute
struck its small wounded chest;
like a blue and undefined fire
burning time in absolute vertigo.
It seemed immortal, fierce, undefeated,
like a sun breaking through darkness;
but it hid all its fragility
within a trembling, exquisite crystal.
Then I understood that all beauty
is born fragile, ephemeral, and divine;
like a blue star that shines
knowing that sorrow also lives within it.
For the most beautiful things in life,
those that shake the universe,
always carry hidden within their softness
the delicate tremor of a wound.
And so it kept beating, overflowing,
as if each instant were eternal;
a bird of light among black bars,
so strong… and yet as fragile as nothingness.
